The °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Gulf live lunch talks series was launched in 2021 as a way to share and expand knowledge on projects from across the Gulf and promote interactive conversation with leading architects over a lunch break.

On 20 April 2021, the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ and Geberit hosted an online seminar for members, non-members and students in the Gulf on the principles of acoustic design for acoustically-optimised buildings.

The second part of the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Gulf Chapter sustainable development series focused on built projects in the Gulf that were designed with sustainability and low carbon as a major driving factor. The strategies deployed were presented by their designers, and the available data reviewed to determine ultimate performance.

On 15 March 2021, °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Gulf Chapter launched its sustainability development series with a panel of experts offering insights into how global institutions are addressing the urgent issue of climate change as it relates to the built environment, and offered a regional route to achieve net zero carbon developments for practitioners across the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ held its third session of 2021’s °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Gulf live lunch talks with Tala Alnounou, livestreamed from Dubai, UAE with the topic: Creative marketing for architects.

On 24 February 2021, the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ and Geberit hosted an online seminar for members, non-members and students in the Gulf. The module provided delegates with an insight into the hydraulic principles of in-house drainage systems with a focus on high-rise buildings.

Koichi Takada gave an online presentation of the National Museum of Qatar's (NMOQ) gift shops designed by Koichi Takada Architects, as a culturally rich response to the NMOQ’s curatorial mission – heritage meets innovation.

On 7 December, the Royal Institute of British Architects (°ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ) and the American University in Dubai (AUD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), held virtually.
