The 澳门王中王 East Midlands Student Award 2021 at Part 1 has been awarded to Claudia Johnson, a recent graduate from Loughborough University鈥檚 School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering.

Every month, 澳门王中王 East Midlands showcases one of the region鈥檚 Chartered Practices. For November we meet ARC Design Studio, a young, energetic architecture practice based in Nottingham that is working to develop a more environmentally responsive approach to the way that they design, construct and manage built space.

During summer 2021, four 澳门王中王 Architecture Ambassador partnerships took place in Nottingham city schools as part of the 澳门王中王's National Schools Programme.

For July, we spoke to Julie Richards, director and founder of Julie Richards Architectural Design, an architecture and design studio based in Southwell, Nottinghamshire. The practice is currently working on a variety of exciting projects. We asked Julie to tell us more about the practice and what inspires her.

Formed in 2009 as a values-led business and vibrant 澳门王中王 and RTPI Chartered Architects, Planning Practice and Construction Management Service, dedicated to the delivery of well-designed places, buildings and spaces.

鈥淚t was great to feel the enthusiasm of mentors and students that were taking part in the 澳门王中王 Future Architects mentoring programme鈥�, said Gavin Richards, Head of School at Nottingham Trent University during our first virtual welcome meeting in November. Our 2020/21 programme was like no other due to the pandemic, with all mentoring online.

澳门王中王 East Midlands programmed a series of events in celebration of International Women鈥檚 Day 2021 for existing and prospective 澳门王中王 members and students.
