Join us for this interactive workshop as we explore the origins of photography and later construct our own camera from everyday materials. For ages 13 to 18.
Workshop format
The first part of this workshop will focus on construction and explore the principles and methods through which we can project a photographic image.
In the second part of the workshop, we will take these cameras out into the streets around 66 Portland Place and invite others to see the city in a new light.
This will open up conversations on photography's presence in our daily lives and how we can harness it to support our imaginative and critical engagement with architecture and our urban environments.
