Join us for this roundtable of internationally accomplished photographers as they share individual presentations on their work.
Presentations will be followed by a topical panel discussion, highlighting the variety of approaches that are possible in architectural photography, particularly in relation to both commissioned and ‘personal’ work, chaired by Dr Annalisa Sonzogni.

Speakers
Michele Nastasi is a photographer of architecture and cities, and a researcher in the field of representation. Based in Milan for the past decade, he is the former editor of the architectural review Lotus International.
His works have been published in monographs and in international reviews, and he collaborates with architects, institutions and companies in the field. He holds a PhD in History of Arts and has taught at schools such as the Politecnico di Milano.ÌýÌýÂ
Nipun Prabhakar is a documentary photographer, designer, and community architect based in Delhi and Bhopal. His multidisciplinary practice explores the poetics and politics of the quotidian. Nipun excavates the afterlife of architecture and its dynamics with society and the environment in the form of long form documentary work.
His work has appeared in the NYT, Washington Post and Restofworld. He has also collaborated with MIT, Cornell University, IDS, Aga Khan Awards for Architecture, and the University of Michigan for research and documentation projects.Â
Pawel Paniczko is a Polish-born architectural photographer based in Manchester, UK. He reveals his subjects in a broader context emphasising in his images the interplay of light and colours.
From the early stage of his career, Pawel was recognised at prestigious photography competitions such as Arcaid Architectural Photography Awards, and Sony World Photography Awards.
He was the overall and portfolio category winner of The Architectural Photography Awards 2018 and served on the expert panel judging the Architectural Photography Awards 2019. He was also a speaker at the 2020 World Architectural Festival Virtual.
Chair: Dr Annalisa Sonzogni is an artist, senior lecturer in Critical & Historical Studies at Kingston School of Art and associate lecturer at London South Bank University. She completed an MA in Photography (2008) and PhD by project at Kingston University (2016).
Her research engages with architecture and the representation of space. She creates immersive site-specific installations in photography, drawing on contemporary architectural debates on relationships between image and space and debates in fine art around participatory practices.ÌýÌýÂ
