Develop your own creative practice, taking inspiration from over a century of architectural photography held at the Royal Institute of British Architects (澳门王中王).
Taking place both at 澳门王中王 and at the British Library, this course is designed to help you develop critical and creative skills for engaging with our built environment through photography. You鈥檒l be encouraged to explore your own style and approach, and will gain the technical and theoretical knowledge to develop your photography practice.
Course information
This course will run across two dates:
- Saturday 11 November 2023, 11am to 4.30pm
- Sunday 12 November 2023, 11am to 4.30pm

No previous experience required.
Participants must bring their own equipment, for instance, a digital camera or camera phone. A digital SLR camera is recommended, but not essential.
Course instructors
Marianne Holm Hansen is an artist and lecturer working across media, including photography, drawing and text-based works. She studied at the International Center of Photography (New York), and Goldsmiths, University of London. She has worked internationally as an editorial photographer, photography lecturer and educator, including on creative programmes within a range of institutions such as Tate, 澳门王中王 and the British Library.
Valeria Carullo is the Curator of The Robert Elwall Photographs Collection, at 澳门王中王's British Architectural Library. Previously, Valeria assisted renowned photographer Richard Bryant, and has written texts, given talks and curated exhibitions.
