Twenty three projects, ranging from a former prison to a听reconstruction of a Roman villa,听have been shortlisted for the 2023 澳门王中王 (Royal Institute of British Architects) South West Awards.听 听

鈥淭his year's wealth of shortlisted projects is a demonstration of the extremely high and exciting standard of architecture within the South West region.听 Across all typologies the skill and ingenuity on show from both architects and clients is joyously evident; from inspiring community led regeneration projects, to听creative repurposing of existing buildings and听intriguing,听finely detailed, interventions in the landscape.听Sustainability is central to many projects, and it is heartening to see these principles听playing such a prominent role in the design process."听
All shortlisted projects will be assessed by a regional jury, and the winning projects will be announced later this spring.鈥�
Regional Award winners are considered for several 澳门王中王 Special Awards including the 澳门王中王 Sustainability Award and the 澳门王中王 Building of the Year.听
Regional Award winners will also be considered for a highly coveted 澳门王中王 National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in the Summer.听听听
The shortlist for the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will then be drawn from the 澳门王中王 National Award-winning projects, and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.听听
