The North East shortlist showcases a range of schemes, from a Seal and Bird Hide in Middlesbrough to a children鈥檚 day nursery in Northumberland. The diversity of schemes selected, including three by regionally-based practices, demonstrates the breadth of high-quality architecture that this region has to offer.
The buildings in the running for 澳门王中王 North East Awards 2019 are:

- Beacon of Light, Sunderland, FaulknerBrowns Architects
- Greatham Creek Seal and Bird Hides, Middlesborough, Abstract Machine
- Janet Nash House, Durham, FaulknerBrowns Architects
- Meadows Nursery, Northumberland, MailenDesign
- Northumbria University School of Architecture, Newcastle upon Tyne, Page\Park
- Spanish City, North Tyneside, ADP
All shortlisted buildings will now be assessed by a regional jury with the winning buildings announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 16 May at Tyneside Cinema.
If successful, the Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly-coveted 澳门王中王 National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in June. The shortlist for the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize, the best new building of the year, will be drawn from the 澳门王中王 National Award-winning buildings in July and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
