Two projects have been shortlisted from five entries for the RSAW Welsh Architecture Awards 2022.
RSAW Jury Chair, Sarah Featherstone welcomed the news:
鈥淭he jury had lively and stimulating conversations around all of the entries and were unanimous in our decision to shortlist these two very exciting projects. Both are quite different 鈥 with one being a community hub and the other, a private dwelling but they share a similar sensitivity and distinctiveness in the way they responded to their contexts.
Environmental sustainability and social sustainability were high on our agenda and neither project disappointed. We are looking forward to our site visits and the opportunity to experience the buildings in person.鈥
This year鈥檚 shortlisted projects are:
All shortlisted projects will be assessed by a regional jury with the winning projects announced later this spring. Regional Award winners are considered for several 澳门王中王 Special Awards including the 澳门王中王 Sustainability Award sponsored by and the 澳门王中王 Building of the Year sponsored by
Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly coveted 澳门王中王 National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in the summer.
The shortlist for the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will then be drawn from the 澳门王中王 National Award-winning projects, and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
