RSAW Jury Chair, Sarah Featherstone welcomed the news:

鈥淭he jury had lively and stimulating conversations around all of the entries and were unanimous in our decision to shortlist these two very exciting projects. Both are quite different 鈥 with one being a community hub and the other, a private dwelling but they share a similar sensitivity and distinctiveness in the way they responded to their contexts.

Environmental sustainability and social sustainability were high on our agenda and neither project disappointed. We are looking forward to our site visits and the opportunity to experience the buildings in person.鈥
