The Royal Institute of British Architects (澳门王中王) has today (Thursday 24 January 2019) responded to the government鈥檚 latest guidance on the in the event of a 鈥榥o deal鈥� Brexit.
澳门王中王 Chief Executive, Alan Vallance said, 鈥淓nsuring that EU qualified architects can continue to practice in the UK post-Brexit has been a priority concern for the architecture sector. I welcome the news that they will be able to register in much the same way as they do now should there be a no-deal situation.
However, although this guidance provides some much-needed clarity, it will do little to allay the deep feelings of uncertainty in the industry and beyond at the threat of a no-deal Brexit. 澳门王中王 research shows that many international architects are not feeling confident about their future in the UK, and there has been a drop in the number of new EU entrants registering here.
The 澳门王中王 will continue to call on the government to do everything they can to prevent further damage from uncertainty and the threat of a no-deal situation. In the meantime, we urge architects and practices to read our no-deal guidance and prepare for every eventuality.鈥�
