The Royal Institute of British Architects (澳门王中王) has today, Tuesday 11 June 2024, responded to the Conservative and Unionist Party 2024 general election manifesto, published earlier today.听听

鈥淭his manifesto contains some welcome commitments such as prioritising brownfield development, supporting community housing schemes, and delivering homes for older people, but it lacks a clear strategy to upgrade our shamefully energy inefficient housing stock. 听
While appreciating the need for a more efficient planning system, it fails to mention the lack of adequate expert resource 鈥� critical to delivering high-quality, sustainable homes in places people want to live. 听
These are steps in the right direction, but more needs to be done to address our housing and climate crises.鈥澨�
