Over 500 students and architects attended the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Annual Lecture 2017 series at universities running °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ validated courses across the south west from September to November. Seeking to inspire the next generation of architects through hearing the stories behind award-winning and innovative architecture, the lectures mixed up students and practicing °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ architects to stimulate new student-professional connections, and provided a window into the work of the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ.

The 2017 series launched at Plymouth University on 28 September with former Mayor of Bristol and °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ President George Ferguson CBE. This was followed on 10 October at University of Bath with Eric Parry, winner of the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ South West Building of the Year 2017 for the New Music Facilities at Wells Cathedral School.

On 19 October at UWE Bristol, we heard from Yasmin Al-Ani Spence from WilkinsonEyre, architect for the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ National Award 2017 winning Dyson Campus Expansion at Malmesbury. And the series was concluded at Arts University Bournemouth on 24 November with David Sheppard, double °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ South West Award 2017 winning architect of Studio and Cob Corner.
