Nine buildings, ranging from a faculty building to a repurposed 19th century barn, have been shortlisted for 2023 澳门王中王 (Royal Institute of British Architects) West Midlands Awards. 听

澳门王中王 West Midlands Jury Chair Will Gamble, Architect at Will Gamble Architects, said:听
"This year鈥檚 shortlist celebrates the rich tapestry of architecture that is found within the West Midlands, in both rural and urban settings. There is a strong听emphasis on responding to our听historic environment through adaptive reuse and sensitive contextual听design. Each project听demonstrates how low carbon听technologies can be听successfully integrated听into well crafted听buildings - raising the听benchmark for holistic design.鈥澨�
All shortlisted projects will be assessed by a regional jury, and the winning projects will be announced later this Spring.鈥�
Regional Award winners are considered for several 澳门王中王 Special Awards including the 澳门王中王 Sustainability Award and the 澳门王中王 Building of the Year.听
Regional Award winners will also be considered for a highly coveted 澳门王中王 National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in the Summer.听听听
The shortlist for the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize for the best building of the year in the UK will then be drawn from the 澳门王中王 National Award-winning projects, and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.听听
