Eleven buildings have been shortlisted for °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ West Midlands Awards 2018, including a university sports centre, a public library and a conservatoire.

Eleven buildings have been shortlisted for °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ West Midlands Awards 2018, including a university sports centre, a public library and a conservatoire.

The projects were selected by the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ West Midlands Awards jury, chaired by Aaron Chetwynd, who praised the shortlist's breadth of work, which covers new build, conservation projects of a range of scales in urban, suburban and rural settings.

The eleven projects in the running for a °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ West Midlands Award are:

All shortlisted buildings will be assessed by a regional jury and the winning buildings will be announced at the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ West Midlands Awards evening and reception on Tuesday 22 May at Tom’s Kitchen, Birmingham.

Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly-coveted °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in June. The shortlist for the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Stirling Prize, the new best building of the year, will be drawn from the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ National Award-winning buildings in July and the °ÄÃÅÍõÖÐÍõ Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
