On Wednesday 6 March the Nottingham and Derby Society of Architects (NDSA) elected a new branch President and Committee. The team is as follows:

Hon. Secretary
Paul MacMahon
Education Officer
Mick Hodgson
Hon. Treasurer
Mark Jermy
Social (Events/Media) Secretary / Heritage Officer
Rory Wood
Committee Members
Ayesha Batool, Graham Markwell, Eleni Tracada, Kasia Jakus-Lechowska, Cinzia Russo.

Josh lays out the thinking of the new team:

鈥淲e put ourselves forward to form the new organising committee of the NDSA as we believe we can contribute positively to the Society in a manner which will benefit all architects and architecture students across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Anyone wanting to be involved in the Society through exhibitions and talks on contemporary architectural matters, important local architecture (both new and old) as well as on an international level, is welcome."

"While our own motivations may vary, ultimately, we have come together because we want to be able to develop a progressive, inclusive, and proactive architecture community across the two cities. With the recently revamped website and events we aim to provide a platform through which we can do this.

We encourage our members and supporters to engage with us in submitting proposals for articles for the website, events, talks, workshops, and exhibitions that can help stimulate professional debate.

We encourage contributions that reflect the  and along with other proven and established measures of integrity and leadership. By asking what is important, and how to engage, we hope these values and principles-based approach will help deliver quality content in an equitable and meaningful way.鈥

Organisation of a summer BBQ is underway, with the intention to hold it in July. Details to follow. For further information on the NDSA and other planned events, please visit .
