Earlier this year I published my Biennial Plan titled 鈥榞iving the next generation a reason to care about architecture鈥�.听听
For me, that means building a profession where everyone feels they belong, and where the public see architects and architecture as offering real solutions to their daily problems.听听
It also means fostering a more engaged and diverse cohort of 澳门王中王 Members who are confident leaders.听听
To meet our full potential and future challenges, 澳门王中王 needs all the capabilities of a high performing organisation. House of Architecture is about ensuring our foundations are secure, and we need your input.听听
Following early member engagement, this week we鈥檝e launched the first phase of our public consultation, including exhibitions at 66 Portland Place and 澳门王中王 North, member webinars, and a new online survey.听听
House of Architecture is the future of 澳门王中王.听听
It鈥檚 a transformative programme to make architecture more accessible for everyone 鈥� our members, our profession, the world.听听
- It鈥檚 unlocking our world-class collections 鈥� bringing together over 4 million objects, stored in five disparate locations, and digitising the most fragile and valuable items so they can be accessed and enjoyed more widely than ever before.听听
- It鈥檚 significant investment in our digital technology, offering a vastly improved online experience and easy access to our knowledge, resources and support, from anywhere in the world.听听
- It鈥檚 making long overdue upgrades to our London headquarters 鈥� a case study in how to respectfully retrofit a heritage building, making it net-zero ready, accessible and welcoming for all.听听听
This three-pronged investment will reinforce our identity as an outward looking cultural institution. It will ensure that we can encourage more people to care about architecture, by promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation, and by celebrating our members鈥� work.听听听
