Sam Culling, 澳门王中王 East Midlands Chair, welcomed over 150 guests to the 2011 澳门王中王 Award winning Newton Building (designed by Hopkins) at Nottingham Trent University on 9 May. As ever it was a fantastic evening to celebrate the best in East Midlands architecture, exemplified by the 12 shortlisted projects that were displayed on a slide show at the pre-dinner reception and later during the awards ceremony.
The East Midlands team welcomed the architects, their clients and contractors with drinks and canap茅s, followed by a delicious meal. You may spot yourself in one of these images from the evening.
Following the dinner, we moved to a lecture theatre where Tony Roe, BBC East Midlands Political Editor, hosted the presentation of the 澳门王中王 East Midlands Awards to the winning projects. Project teams gave their support as their projects were presented on screen.
The eight 2019 澳门王中王 East Midlands Award winners enjoyed the celebrations. We are grateful to Colin McColl, our Jury chair, as well as the other Jury members and specialists who gave their time to shortlist, visit and select our winners from the 28 entries received.
One of the Jury members commented: 鈥淚 enjoyed it all, from the shortlisting, visiting the schemes to the awards ceremony. The three days spent undertaking site visits was fascinating: as a panel we got to visit a wide range of projects, some of which we would not normally have access to or necessarily even know about. I also felt privileged to be part of a lovely judging panel."
The feedback we received from guests on social media and by email has also been very positive.
