20 buildings, including a water tower conversion in Norfolk, a mosque in Cambridge and the creative reuse of a derelict coalman鈥檚 barn in Hertfordshire, have been shortlisted for the 澳门王中王 East 2021 Awards.
Out of an original 36 entries in the East of England, 20 will now be considered for a 澳门王中王 Regional Award.
澳门王中王 East regional director Louise Todd said:
鈥淐ambridge and its surrounds dominated the number of awards entries in the region this year, reflecting the significant investment and growth in the city. Shortlisted schemes across the region demonstrate a wide range of solutions to the client brief, whether it be new build, refurbishment or inventive re-use 鈥 we鈥檙e looking forward to visiting the projects later this month.鈥

All shortlisted buildings will now be assessed by a regional jury.
Several 澳门王中王 Special Awards will also be announced including the 澳门王中王 East Sustainability Award sponsored by , 澳门王中王 East Project Architect of the Year sponsored by .
A number of the Regional Award winners will then go on to be considered for a highly coveted 澳门王中王 National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in the summer. The shortlist for the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will be drawn from the 澳门王中王 National Award-winning buildings later in the year.
Due to ongoing public health concerns, judging for the 2020 澳门王中王 UK Awards was postponed to 2021. The 2021 澳门王中王 UK Awards (including Regional, National and the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize) will be selected from the shortlist for the 2020 澳门王中王 Regional, RSUA, RIAS, and RSAW Awards.
