Eight projects shortlisted for 澳门王中王 East Midlands 2022 Awards

Eight buildings have been shortlisted for 澳门王中王 East Midlands 2022 Awards. The shortlisted projects include residential accommodation and a new public library on the site of the former Thornton鈥檚 factory in Derbyshire, a new crematorium in Lincolnshire and a house extension set in the ruins of a former parchment factory in Northamptonshire.

Eight buildings have been shortlisted for the 澳门王中王 East Midlands 2022 Awards. Projects include residential accommodation and a new public library on the site of the former Thornton鈥檚 factory in Derbyshire, a new crematorium in Lincolnshire and a house extension set in the ruins of a former parchment factory in Northamptonshire.

This year's shortlisted projects are:

  • Ada Belfield Centre and Belper Library, Derbyshire by
  • Derwent Valley Villa, Derbyshire by
  • Dorothy Goodman Special School, Hinckley by
  • Exo Centre, Lincolnshire by
  • Lea Fields Crematorium, Gainsborough, by
  • Ravine House, Derbyshire by
  • The Lyth Building, Southwell by
  • The Parchment Works, Northamptonshire by

澳门王中王 East Midlands Chair, Nils Feldmann, welcomed the news:

鈥淚n light of the challenges of the past two years, it鈥檚 fantastic to see eight projects shortlisted for the 澳门王中王 East Midlands 2022 Awards. The quality and range of the schemes selected, including two designed by regionally based practices, is testament to the skill and determination of the architects involved.鈥

All shortlisted projects will be assessed by a regional jury in early March with the winning projects announced later this spring.

Regional Award winners are considered for several 澳门王中王 Special Awards including the 澳门王中王 Sustainability Award sponsored by and the 澳门王中王 Building of the Year sponsored by

Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly coveted 澳门王中王 National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence, the results of which will be announced in the summer.

The shortlist for the 澳门王中王 Stirling Prize for the best building of the year will then be drawn from the 澳门王中王 National Award-winning projects, and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced in October.
